God is So Good

Dear Friends & Family,

God is so good

He's so good to me.....

Corbin & I would sing that song at bedtime for many years. Still I sing it, in my head, more than ever. You may wonder how I can sing that song at this point in our lives. The truth is, God is so good to us. He meets our needs by providing peace and comfort. He also provides friends and distractions just when we need them most! Last week we had a constant flow of friends here. It helps so much to take our minds off the sadness that sometimes can overwhelm us. Friends bring laughter, stories and memories that we will always cherish.

OMG!!! Mike Casey surprised me with a ride in an airplane with his friend Pilot Jeff.
It was so fun! Since it was I surprise, I had no time to stress or freak out about anything.
These cool photos were taken by a camera mounted on the wing.

We flew out over the ocean. After a few barrell rolls, we did some loops!
 In this photo we are headed straight down towards the ocean,
you can see Catalina Island in the background! Oh my!

We headed back to Torrance Airport over the Port of Los Angeles.
Oh, and while we were over the ocean, he let me fly the plane for a bit. So fun!

I will never forget it!

I walked in my house from the exciting plane ride and expected to see the Popp Family for dinner. Surprise, our house was FULL of friends! What a fun night! I honestly thought we were done with large groups and parties, but what can I say when the men are outside barbequeing yummy steak, chicken and sausage and the women are in the kitchen preparing all the side dishes? It was like old times and one of the greatest days I have had in a long time. Curt too!
