Curt Ziemke

Dear Friends and Family,

Curt passed away peacefully at 9:00pm on November 23, 2012. The kids and I were at his side. He fought a tough battle over the past 3 years, and especially hard over the past 5 days. We are relieved that he is no longer suffering. We are sad that he is gone. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to our family these last few days. We love you all.

My name is Keith Henderson, I am the husband of Susan Dunigan Henderson. I would like to take this time to offer my condolences to your family for the loss of your husband, father and friend. I watched a video of Curt that my wife showed to me and I am inspired by his endless smiling and infectious positive look on life. Thank you for sharing his life with others and may GOD bless your family.

Dear Cindy, Clarissa, Cayden and my man Corbin,

Another journey begins for all of you. One you did not choose but one you will travel well. You have all been blessed with such a special person to lead you thru these trying days. His words will, without a doubt, whisper all you will need to know at each turn of the road ahead. His laughter and smile are etched in your memory for eternity to help lighten your hearts. You are all going to be fine.....he made certain of that. His love will keep you strong!
What an incredibly wise and wonderful man your dad and husband was!

Cindy, thank you for your selfless, sometimes agonizing and always heartfelt updates. No one could have done it better. You have been a pillar of strength no matter how bad things became. I commend you. You held the entire family together when you didn't think you could. Your friends are amazing, as well....they held you up when you needed a hand and gave unconditional love and support from the beginning. They will undoubtedly continue until they see you can fly again on your own.

Jim and I send our love and prayers!

i was looking at some old updates and wow,, what an amazing story, it took my breath away. every picture made me smile,, beautiful family! Whenever I saw curt in the hallway at lcs, he would always wave and have the biggest smile one his face,, that would ALWAYS make my day. Matthew 25:23 says, "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

Curt is now in an amazing home,, walking with Christ on the street of gold. Curt will ALWAYS be there in everyones heart, he was always there and always will be. you and your family did such an amazing job taking care of him. It is amazing that you knew him pretty much all your life, that is awesome, truly amazing.

John 14:1-4 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me." He was a great father, a friend, a husband, A HERO.

Cindy, Clarissa, Cayden and Corbin--there are no words that seem sufficient to offer you comfort, but please know you are always in our thoughts, as Curt is. It doesn't seem right to think of him in the past tense, so he remains in our hearts as a wonderful person and a great friend. With love, Bob and Trace Young
